Игра обладала простой настройкой команд и относительной реалистичностью, но всё же, забить шайбу в ворота новичкам было не просто. Игра бала сделана на новом игровом движке с новым нестандартным видом на игровое поле. В игре 26 настоящих хоккейных команд, собранные из двух лиг NHL и NHLPA.

Лицензия на команды NHL не была получена, поэтому в игре представлены только города команд и похожая форма. Зато была получена лицензия NHLPA, что говорит о том, что все имена игроков реальны. Только вот команда New York Islanders называется как Long Island.
