Хоть игра сильно и похожа на своего предшественника Brutal: Paws of Fury, но на самом деле она является продолжением, то есть фактически второй частью игры. В игре Brutal Unleashed: Above the Claw – действия происходят спустя четыре года после основной сюжетной линии первой части турнира Paws of Fury. Участники возвращаются на остров Brutal (Brutal Island), что бы ещё раз выяснить, кто же сильнейший войн и биться с самим Dali Llama за пояс Небес (Belt of Heaven).

Though game strongly and is similar to the predecessor of Brutal: Paws of Fury, but actually it is continuation, that is actually the second part of game. In the game Brutal Unleashed: Above the Claw – actions occur four years later after the main subject line of the first part of the Paws of Fury tournament.
