Великая игра легенда, про безымянного героя – Принца Персии. Действия игры разворачиваются в Древней Персии. Султан на войне в другой стране, этим и пользуется его визирь Джафар, он хочет взять власть в свои руки. Но ему препятствует дочь султана – принцесса. Джафар запирает её в башне, и говорит ей, что если она не примет решение в течение часа, и не выйдет за него замуж, он её казнит. Спасти её может только любящий её принц, брошенный в темницу. Вот отсюда и начинается игра.
